Craftsmanship visible in every layer

Making a glassfibre urn takes patience and precision in equal measure. A framework is cast from glassfibre, resin and plaster, then two or three thick coats of lacquer mixed with plaster are applied by hand. The urn is rinsed with water between each coat. Colour is then built up across the surface, followed by a layer of varnish. A final coat of varnish is applied, and the urn is smoothed and polished to finish. It is this layered process that gives the 'Rhea' its distinctively clear colour and smooth surface. Glassfibre also makes the urn noticeably light to handle, without sacrificing durability.

Avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners, which can dull the finish.
