A place to return to, kept in stone

Some places hold a name, a date, a line that meant something. A granite urn monument gives you that: a fixed, quiet presence where you can always go back.

Granite with hand-chiselled edges

Granite is one of the most durable natural stones used for memorial work. The chiselled edges on this monument are worked by hand, using chisel and hammer to create a rhythmic, textured pattern along each side. It is a technique that requires skill and patience, and the result is visible in every finished edge. The beige tone of this granite gives the monument a reserved, enduring character that suits both traditional and contemporary burial grounds.

Chosen for who they were

If you are looking for a monument that reflects the bond you shared, the material and the words you choose both matter. Granite holds engraved lettering cleanly for many years, through rain, frost and seasonal change. That makes it a reliable surface for a name, dates and whatever words you want to preserve.

Personalisation options

A personal text can be added to the monument: a name, a date, or a phrase that captures something of who your loved one was. You might choose a line they used themselves, or a detail that held meaning for the two of you. Bespoke dimensions are also possible, so the monument can meet the specific requirements of your chosen burial ground.

Durability and maintenance

Granite withstands moisture, frost and long-term outdoor exposure. It does not fade or crumble under normal weather conditions, and it requires no protective coating or seasonal maintenance. The stone works quietly, year after year, with no intervention needed from you.

Practical considerations before ordering

Before ordering a cremation urn monument, it is worth speaking with your cemetery manager or local authority first. Cemeteries often have specific requirements covering dimensions, permitted materials and approved forms. Some sites restrict installation to stonemasons from the local area. Any concrete base slab and foundation piling beneath it will need to be installed by the cemetery itself. If you are placing the urn for ashes in a private garden rather than a burial ground, a plastic urn vault is available and can be installed yourself. Custom dimensions can be arranged.

Approval before production

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a proof of the monument for your approval before anything goes into production. This gives you the opportunity to check every detail and request any changes before the stone is worked.

If you have questions or would like to talk through dimensions, wording or placement, please do get in touch by phone or by filling in the contact form.
