A colour that says something about the person you loved
Turquoise is not an obvious choice, and that is exactly why it can be the right one. Sitting between blue and green, between stillness and life, it is a colour people have been drawn to for thousands of years when they wanted to preserve something of value. If you are looking for a cremation urn that reflects something true about the person you have lost, the colour itself is where that choice begins.
Hand-made and fired twice
This urn is made through a traditional craft process. It starts with a plaster mould used as the base form. The ceramic is cast from that mould and left to dry. Once dry, the surface is smoothed by hand before the first firing at 900°C. The glaze is then applied, and the urn goes back into the kiln at 1,050°C. That second firing gives the ceramic its density, its gloss, and the depth of colour that shifts slightly depending on the light. Because each piece is made and finished by hand, no two are identical.
Ceramic: one of the oldest materials in the world
The word ceramic comes from the Greek keramos, and the material itself has been used to hold things of value for centuries. The Egyptians worked with it long before the Common Era. That long history is not incidental: ceramic is durable, requires almost no maintenance, and holds its appearance over many decades. This urn for ashes can be used with or without an ash bag.
Present in your home, not hidden away
The bond you shared does not belong in a corner. This urn has a modern, considered design that sits naturally alongside the rest of your interior. It holds its place in a room because it is well made, not because it demands attention.
Practical points on durability and care
Ceramic is well suited to long-term indoor use. Under normal living conditions it is not sensitive to moisture, and with careful placement it will show no meaningful deterioration over many decades. This urn is designed for indoor use only: do not expose it to frost or sharp temperature changes. Place it on a stable, level surface. As with all ceramic, a fall may cause it to break; this is a characteristic of the material rather than a fault in the piece itself. A 24-month guarantee applies.
The turquoise as a considered choice
Turquoise holds stillness and vitality in the same glance. If the person you lost loved water, nature, the outdoors, or simply had a strong feeling for colour and character, this funeral urn can carry something of that. The choice is personal, and its meaning comes from that.
Because this urn does not carry engraving, the space around it becomes part of how you make it yours: a photograph placed beside it, a stone, a sprig, a candle you associate with them. Small things can hold a great deal.
Take your time with it. If it feels right, you will know.
