Two figures, one piece

Sometimes the bond between two people feels too significant to sit quietly inside a single object. The 'Hidden Love' is a ceramic duo cremation urn: two intertwined figures that form one complete piece, with a space at the centre for a tealight candle. To anyone who doesn't know, it reads as a sculptured art object. To you, it holds everything.

Hand-modelled from high-quality clay

The artist behind this piece has been working in ceramic for over 40 years, and that depth of experience shows in the way he handles the material. Each urn is hand-modelled from high-quality clay, then fired with a liquid bronze finish that bonds to the surface during the kiln process. Because every piece is formed by hand, no two are identical. The colour gradations, the surface texture, the small variations in form: each one is its own object.

From the first shaping to the final firing, each urn takes around four weeks to complete. That lead time reflects the nature of the process, not a delay.

What makes 'Hidden Love' different

If you are looking for something that speaks to the connection between two people, this design does that in its structure rather than in any added sentiment. The two figures are not placed side by side. They are woven into each other. That distinction matters, and you feel it when you see the piece.

Symbolism that reflects your relationship

The title 'Hidden Love' describes exactly how the piece works. The love is not displayed on the surface; it is built into the form of the ceramic itself. The tealight at the centre is not an afterthought. It gives you a place for light on the days that call for it, whether that is a birthday, a quiet evening, or a day that feels heavier than most. That gesture has a home here.

Personalisation options

If you would like to personalise the urn, engraving is available. A name, a date, or a short phrase can be added to make this piece unmistakably yours. It does not need to announce itself to everyone in the room. The meaning belongs to you.

Practical guidance for ceramic indoors

Ceramic is a solid, dependable material, and this urn is designed for indoor use. Choosing the right spot in your home makes a difference to how the piece settles into the space and how well it is preserved over time.

Care and placement

The bronze finish bonds to the ceramic during firing and holds well under normal indoor conditions. Keep the urn away from direct moisture, so avoid placing it in a bathroom or on a windowsill prone to condensation. Wiping with a dry or very slightly damp cloth is all the maintenance it needs. The construction is solid, a result of the hand-building and kiln process, though you will naturally handle it with care.

Lead time

Because every urn for ashes in this range is individually hand-modelled and fired to order, the lead time is approximately four weeks. This is craft time, built into the making of the piece.

If you would like to discuss engraving options or talk through the ordering process, we are happy to take the time with you.
