Making the urn is an artisan process that can take several days. The clay is first carefully prepared and then shaped into the desired form. The ceramic must then dry slowly to reduce the risk of cracking or distortion during firing.

Once dry, the urn undergoes a first firing at approximately 900 °C. The glaze is then applied by hand and the urn is fired again, this time at around 1,200 °C. During this second firing, the glaze fuses with the ceramic surface, creating a durable, glossy and water-resistant finish.
