Ceramic Heart Keepsake Urn for Ashes - Saffron

A warm saffron heart for treasured memories

Warm and earthy rather than brightly coloured, this saffron ceramic heart offers a personal place for a small portion of ashes. Its rounded form is intended to be held as well as displayed.

Made by hand in ceramic

Each heart is individually shaped from ceramic, glazed and fired at a high temperature. It has a smooth surface and a gently rounded shape that fits in the palm of your hand. Slight differences in the shape and glaze are part of its handmade character, so no two pieces are exactly alike.

Why choose saffron?

The orange-brown saffron tone may recall autumn leaves, warm evening light or a familiar place. Each handmade glaze has subtle variations, so the finish has a character of its own.

A small keepsake urn for cremation ashes

There is space inside the heart for a small, symbolic amount of ashes, not the full amount from a cremation. The ashes are not visible from the outside, allowing the heart to be kept as a discreet personal remembrance.

The heart can rest beside everyday reminders of someone special, ready to be held during a quiet moment.

Presentation and care

The heart is supplied in a box made from handmade mulberry paper, using fibres from the mulberry tree. The box can also be used to store the heart safely when it is not on display.

Although fired ceramic is hard, it can chip or break if dropped or knocked. Handle it gently and clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. We recommend keeping it indoors.

If softer earth tones reflect the person or the places you remember, saffron offers a gentle alternative to more traditional colours. If you have questions about how to add ashes or secure the heart afterwards, please get in touch for guidance before filling it.
