The artist behind this piece has worked with ceramic clay for more than four decades. Each keepsake urn is hand-modelled from high-quality clay, then fired in a kiln. During that firing, a liquid bronze layer is applied directly, bonding to the ceramic as part of the process itself. This is not a surface coating added afterwards. It becomes part of the piece. The result is a surface with genuine depth and character. From modelling through to final firing, the process takes around four weeks, which is exactly why no two urns are alike. Each one carries its own tone, its own presence.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor placement

This urn for ashes is made for both indoor and outdoor use. The fired ceramic body with its bonded bronze layer holds up well to changing conditions. That said, a sheltered position outdoors is advisable. Placing it away from direct rain and frost will help the finish stay in good condition over time. Indoors, it needs no special care beyond keeping it on a stable surface.

On receiving your urn

Your urn will arrive carefully and discreetly packaged. Please check it on arrival and report any damage as soon as possible so that it can be resolved promptly. The piece opens via a cap in the base, which can be sealed with adhesive once the ashes are in place.
