After a farewell, different emotions can exist side by side. Love and gratitude for what you shared, but also grief and longing for what will not return. The handmade mini urn ‘Emocion’ was designed with this in mind and provides a personal place for a small amount of cremation ashes.

The meaning behind Emocion

Emocion refers to the feelings that remain connected with someone who was important to you. The urn does not try to portray those emotions literally. Instead, its simple shape and the character of the handmade ceramic leave room for your own memories and meaning.

Shaped and glazed by hand

The ceramic is shaped by hand and carefully dried before being fired for the first time at approximately 950 °C. The glaze is then applied by hand. During a second firing at around 1,200 °C, the glaze fuses with the ceramic surface, creating the characteristic brown finish.

No two mini urns are exactly the same

Clay, glaze and temperature react slightly differently during every firing. Subtle differences can therefore occur in colour, texture and shape. These nuances are part of handmade ceramic and are not imperfections. They give every Emocion mini urn its own character.

A personal place of remembrance at home

A mini urn is often chosen to keep a small amount of ashes, for example when the ashes are divided or when you wish to create a separate place of remembrance alongside a larger urn. You can display the Emocion on its own or combine it with a photograph, memorial candle or another personal object that has meaning for you.

Caring for ceramic

The Emocion mini urn is intended for indoor use only. Ceramic is sturdy and retains its shape, but it can break if dropped or subjected to a hard impact. Place the urn on a dry, level and stable surface where it cannot easily be knocked over.
