A presence that stays with you

Sometimes it is a gesture, not words, that holds the most meaning. This hand-sculpted ceramic cremation urn takes the form of a figure in prayer, a posture that has expressed devotion and love across cultures for thousands of years. It sits in your home as a work of art first, and that is precisely what draws people to it.

Hand-modelled by a ceramic artist with over 40 years of experience

The artist behind this urn has worked with ceramic clay for more than four decades. Each urn for ashes is modelled entirely by hand from high-quality clay. During the firing process, a liquid bronze layer is bonded directly to the ceramic surface, producing the deep, rich colour you see in the finished piece. From initial modelling to the final firing, each urn takes around four weeks to complete. Because every stage is done by hand, no two urns are identical. Each one carries its own character.

What the figure in prayer means

The prayer posture is one of the oldest human gestures of love and connection. Choosing this urn is a way of expressing something you may already feel: the wish to remain close to someone, even now. The figure also incorporates a tealight holder. Lighting a candle beside it, on a birthday, a quiet evening, or simply when you need a moment, becomes a small ritual that holds real weight. Picture yourself pausing there, the name of the person you have lost in your thoughts, the bond you shared made tangible again.

Practical care for an indoor setting

Ceramic is a strong and durable material, well suited to a permanent place in the home. It does ask for a little consideration when it comes to placement.

Placement and day-to-day care

Keep the urn away from direct sunlight and humid rooms such as bathrooms. Fluctuating moisture levels can affect the bond of the bronze layer over time. On a stable surface, away from busy areas of the room, the piece will hold its appearance for years. Clean the surface with a dry cloth or one that is very lightly dampened. Avoid abrasive materials entirely.

Personalisation options

If you would like to personalise this cremation urn, text engraving is available. A name, a date, or a line you have always carried with you can be added to make the piece entirely your own. Further personal adaptations may also be possible. Get in touch to talk through what would work best, and we will take the time to think it through with you properly.
