She lived her own way. Her urn should too.

Some losses resist the ordinary. If you are looking for something that genuinely reflects the person you have lost, rather than a form chosen by default, this handmade ceramic cremation urn in near-white beige was made with exactly that in mind.

Handmade and hand-glazed, one piece at a time

Every urn in this collection is built by hand, from start to finish. The artist forms, glazes and fires each piece individually, which makes repetition impossible. No two urns are exactly alike. The soft beige tone, sitting just a breath away from white, gives the piece a settled, unobtrusive presence. The urn you receive will not exist anywhere else. That is not a marketing claim. It is a direct consequence of how it is made.

The bond you shared deserves something real

This urn belongs to the collection titled Is there life after death…?, developed by the artist through conversations with people who, like you, were searching for an object that carried more than surface meaning. The question in that title is not decorative. It is an invitation to consider what remains, and to acknowledge that a connection does not end because a person is no longer here. This urn gives that bond a tangible, visible place.

In the artist's own words

'My personal search over the years formed a firm foundation for a strong creative force. Being able to translate my inner, invisible world into tangible structures, visible and felt by others, has become an essential part of my life. Shaping something with your hands and creating something new from nothing: the responses of those who see the work have always been an inspiration, and they keep me going.'

The work is described as spiritual, contemporary and enduring, each piece taking on its own identity rather than belonging to a series. A single glance makes clear that this is not a mass-produced object.

Designed for indoor use

This cremation urn is intended for use inside the home. The ceramic body and glaze are suited to a stable indoor environment: a windowsill, a mantelpiece, or a quiet corner of a room. The urn is compatible with use both with and without an ash bag.

Practical considerations for ceramic

Ceramic is a durable material, but it benefits from careful handling. Place the urn on a flat, stable surface and keep it away from direct moisture and significant changes in temperature. Avoid placing it where it might be knocked or where condensation is likely to gather. Handled with care, this is an object that can last for generations.

Variation between pieces

Because every urn is formed and glazed by hand, small differences in colour, texture and form are natural and expected. This is not a flaw. It is precisely what sets this piece apart from anything produced in a mould. When you choose this urn for ashes, you are choosing something that exists once.
