A face that stays present

A photograph holds what words cannot. If you are choosing a cremation urn memorial monument with a photo set into glass on granite, you are choosing something that brings a face back into view, in colour or black and white, every time you visit.

Granite and glass: craftsmanship built to last

Granite is one of the hardest natural stones used in memorial construction. Each slab is cut and ground to size, and because it is a natural material, every piece carries its own grain and pattern. The glass plate bearing the photograph is produced specifically for outdoor use, resistant to rain, frost and UV exposure. Combining granite and glass requires precise measurement and skilled assembly. As the manufacturer, we oversee both directly. The result is a monument that is genuinely durable, not simply decorative.

Colour or black and white: your choice, your portrait

The photograph you supply is processed professionally into the glass plate. You choose whether you want colour or black and white. A colour photograph preserves the vitality you remember. A black-and-white image gives the funeral urn monument a quieter, more considered presence. Both do justice to the person you are remembering, and to the bond you shared. If you are unsure which photograph will work best, we are happy to look at the options with you.

Personalisation beyond the photograph

Alongside the photograph, the monument can carry a name, dates and a personal inscription.

Practical considerations before you order

Granite is robust, but any memorial monument needs a stable foundation. The concrete base and pile foundations beneath a grave plot must be installed by the cemetery itself. Before placing your order, we strongly recommend contacting your cemetery manager or local authority. Not every cemetery permits all materials, dimensions or forms, and some sites require installation by an approved local stonemason. If you are placing the urn memorial in a private garden, our plastic urn vault is available and straightforward to install yourself. Non-standard dimensions can also be arranged.

Please check with your cemetery or local authority before ordering to confirm what is and is not permitted at your specific location.

Approval before production

Once you have placed your order, we send you a proof for approval. This gives you the opportunity to review every detail before production begins.

A monument you will recognise

The granite carries the weight. The glass carries the face. Together, they hold what words alone cannot. If you are looking for a way to keep someone visibly present, this is a choice that will stay with you.

If you have questions or would like help deciding on a photograph or inscription, please get in touch by phone or through our contact form and we will take it at your pace.
