The mark that belongs to no one else

A fingerprint is the most singular thing a person carries. No two are alike, and once someone is gone, theirs exists nowhere else in the world. Having it preserved in gold is a way of holding on to something that is genuinely, irreplaceably theirs.

Handcrafted in 14 or 18 carat gold

Each ring is made by hand by skilled craftspeople who specialise in personalised jewellery. The fingerprint is transferred with enough precision that every ridge and whorl remains legible in the finished metal. The result is not an approximation but a faithful rendering of the actual print. The ring is available in 14ct yellow gold, 14ct white gold, 18ct yellow gold and 18ct white gold. Gold does not oxidise, and it holds its colour and lustre over years of daily wear without requiring any special care.

What the fingerprint carries

The print of your child, your parent or your partner represents the bond you shared, made tangible in metal you can wear and touch. Each time your fingers find the surface of the ring, you feel the lines that belonged only to them. That is not distant symbolism. It is closeness in the most concrete form there is.

Personalisation and lasting quality

Gold is one of the most stable metals available. It does not distort with changes in temperature, it is unaffected by moisture, and it requires no protective coating. You can wear this cremation urn ring every day without any deterioration to the print or the metal beneath it.

Inside engraving

Engraving is available on the inner band, where a name, a date or a short phrase can be added. It connects the print to a person or a moment in a way that only you will see. A birth date, a date of passing, or simply a name, whichever carries the most meaning for you.

Practical information before you order

To make the ring, the studio needs a scan of the fingerprint. You will need to upload the fingerprint image when placing your order. If you are unsure how to take a clear print or would like guidance before ordering, please get in touch first. Getting the scan right is the most important step, and we are happy to talk you through it so the finished ring reflects exactly what you want.

If you would like help with the fingerprint scan, advice on gold type, or guidance on inside engraving for this urn for ashes jewellery piece, get in touch and we will talk through the options at your own pace.
