The ring is made in 14ct yellow gold, 14ct white gold, 18ct yellow gold or 18ct white gold. Each one is worked by hand: the fingerprint is transferred into the metal by an artisan, not a machine. That distinction matters because the lines of a fingerprint are fine, layered and entirely individual. It takes precision and patience to capture them faithfully, and the care that goes into each ring shows in the finished piece. The result carries the exact character of that one person's print, set permanently in gold.
