The Gres porcelain used here is a compound of white clay, sand and fluxing agents, formulated to become exceptionally hard after firing. That process makes the material scratch-resistant and frost-resistant, and suited to both indoor and outdoor placement. Where your dog rests is entirely your choice.

Filling the urn yourself, simply and with dignity

The urn opens via a stainless steel screw cap fitted to the base. You can fill it yourself, without any tools or outside assistance. That is a deliberate feature. It gives you the space to do this in your own way, at the moment you feel ready.

White by choice

The white finish here is not a default. White porcelain carries a quality of stillness and clarity, and it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the bond you shared with your dog, not on the object itself. The urn holds the memory quietly.

What to know before you decide

Porcelain is a hard material, but it does not absorb impact well. Place the urn on a stable, level surface. Outdoors, choose a sheltered spot where water cannot pool beneath it. The stainless steel screw cap seals the urn securely against rain and frost, so outdoor placement is practical as well as personal. A flat, stable base is sufficient protection for the material in most conditions.
