A place that shows who they were
Choosing a memorial for an urn grave is not an ordinary purchase. You are looking for something that reflects the person you have lost, suits the place where they rest, and holds the memories you want to keep close. This granite monument, with a glass panel carrying a colour or black-and-white photograph, makes that possible in a way that gives an immediate, recognisable presence.
Granite and glass: two materials built to last
Granite is one of the most durable natural stones available. It is quarried, cut and ground to a surface that holds firm against frost, rain and years of outdoor exposure. There is no coating to fade, no layer to deteriorate over time. The glass panel is professionally produced: your chosen photograph is set into it through a precise process that delivers sharp detail and colour-stable reproduction, even after years outdoors. You choose whether a colour photograph or a black-and-white image suits your loved one best.
A face remembered, not just a name
A photograph does something a name alone cannot. When you place an image on the memorial, visitors do not only read who is buried there, they see who that person was. This matters particularly for people who never knew your loved one personally but still want to pay their respects. Choose a photograph that shows them as you remember them most clearly: smiling, composed, in a place that was familiar to them.
Practical reassurance for a careful decision
A memorial like this raises questions worth asking before you order. Here is what you need to know.
Check with the cemetery before ordering
Please note: before placing an order, it is strongly advisable to speak with your cemetery manager or local authority about what is and is not permitted at your specific site. Many cemeteries specify requirements around dimensions, materials and forms for grave monuments. Some also restrict installation to approved local stonemasons. Any concrete base slab and pile foundations beneath the stone must be installed by the cemetery itself. If you are placing the cremation urn monument in a private garden, a plastic urn vault is available separately and can be installed without specialist help. Non-standard dimensions can also be arranged.
You approve the design before anything is finalised
Once you have placed your order, we send you a proof of the finished design for your approval. This gives you the opportunity to review every detail, including the photograph placement and any inscription text, before production begins.
