A place that endures

Choosing a grave memorial for cremated remains is not a simple decision. You want to create somewhere that does justice to the person you have lost, and one that will stand the test of time without uncertainty. Granite offers exactly that reassurance. It is one of the most durable natural stones in existence, resistant to frost, rain and decades of weathering. That is not a marketing claim. It is the reason stonemasons have worked with this material for centuries.

Granite: a foundation for lasting remembrance

Granite is quarried from the earth and then cut, ground and finished by skilled stonemasons to precise dimensions. Every cremation urn gravestone we supply is individually assembled and available in several colours, from classic grey to deep black or natural tones with distinctive mineral patterning. That range of colour matters. It allows you to choose a memorial that reflects the person you are remembering, and the setting where it will stand. The bond you shared with them can be present in every detail, including the stone itself.

Personalising the memorial

A grave memorial only truly speaks when it carries the name, dates and words that hold meaning for you. We are here to help you work that out, at whatever pace feels right.

Text and layout to your specification

If you are not yet sure which words you would like, that is entirely fine. Once you have placed your order, we will send you a proof for approval before anything goes into production. You have time to review every detail carefully.

Practical considerations before you order

Granite is exceptionally robust, but placing a grave memorial requires preparation. The information below will help you approach the process with confidence.

Always check with the cemetery first

Before ordering this urn for ashes, we strongly recommend speaking with your cemetery manager or local authority first. Many cemeteries specify permitted dimensions, materials and forms for grave memorials, and some require that installation is carried out by approved local stonemasons only. Any concrete base slab and pile foundations beneath the memorial must be installed by the cemetery itself. If you are placing the memorial in a private garden rather than a cemetery, we can advise on alternative options, including a plastic urn vault that you can install yourself. Non-standard dimensions are also possible, so do ask.

We will guide you through it

There is no pressure and no rush. If you have questions about inscription wording, permitted specifications at your cemetery, or anything else, get in touch by phone or via the contact form and we will think it through with you.
