A lasting place for someone who will not be forgotten
Choosing a grave monument is not a straightforward task. You are not simply selecting a stone; you are looking for something that reflects who this person was. This granite cremation urn gravestone offers exactly that foundation: durable, dignified, and available in several colours so the choice can feel genuinely personal.
Granite: a material built to last
Granite is one of the hardest natural stones used in memorial work. It is extracted from large quarried blocks, and working it demands specialist skill. Every cut, every face and every engraved line requires precision and tools developed specifically for this material. That level of craft shows in the result. Granite holds its colour and surface texture across the years and requires very little maintenance. That reliability is worth something, especially over the long term.
Available in several colours
Granite comes in shades ranging from deep black and grey through to softer pinks and warm beiges. Each colour has its own character. On a darker stone, engraved text stands out with clarity and definition. A lighter stone sits more quietly in a green setting, looking natural rather than formal. Whatever colour fits your memory of this person, there is a version that suits it.
What to know before you order
Placing a grave monument takes some preparation. There are practical considerations and local regulations to work through before anything is confirmed, and it helps to understand these before you begin.
Placement, regulations and practical considerations
Before ordering, it is worth speaking to your cemetery manager or local authority to confirm what is permitted at your chosen burial ground. Monuments are sometimes required to meet specific dimensions, material types or design criteria set by the cemetery. In certain locations, only stonemasons from the local area are approved to carry out installation. Any concrete base slab and foundation piling beneath the gravestone will need to be installed by the cemetery itself. If you are considering placing the urn gravestone in a private garden, we also offer a plastic urn vault that you can install yourself. Custom dimensions are available if the standard size does not suit your requirements.
Approval before production begins
Once you have placed your order, we will send you a design proof for your review. This gives you the opportunity to check every detail before production starts, so nothing is confirmed until you are satisfied.
Personalising with engraved text
Text engraving is available and makes the monument personal and distinct. If you have questions or would like to talk through the options, we are happy to help by phone or via the contact form.
