Two paw prints, and everything they carry

The loss of a pet catches many people off guard, not because they didn't expect to grieve, but because of how quietly it lands. The chair that stays empty. The routine that no longer makes sense. If you are looking for a place in your home where that memory can simply exist, this ceramic pet urn for ashes was made for exactly that.

A symbol rooted in the everyday

The two paw prints on this urn are not decorative flourishes. They refer to something specific: the physical traces your pet left behind, the worn patch on the sofa, the path worn into the garden, the marks they made in your daily life. That is why the motif carries weight. The design is kept deliberately quiet, so the paw prints are present without competing with the space around them. The urn sits naturally on a shelf, a dresser or a personal memorial corner, wherever you want to pause for a moment.

Crafted through a process that demands care

The quality of this urn is not incidental. Ceramic production requires precision at every stage, and the result reflects that.

How this urn is made

The process begins with liquid clay poured into a plaster mould. The mould is clamped shut and filled until the clay layer reaches the correct thickness. The excess clay is then poured away and the shaped layer continues to dry inside the mould. Any seams left by the multi-part mould are worked back carefully by hand. Once fully dry, the urn enters the kiln, where it is fired at temperatures above 1,000 degrees. At that point the clay becomes ceramic, permanently. The glaze is applied last, producing the characteristic glossy black finish and a smooth, considered surface.

What the material offers

Ceramic has been used for urns for generations because it is robust, stable and holds its finish well over time. The glaze protects the surface and makes the urn easy to maintain with a dry or lightly damp cloth.

Practical considerations

Ceramic is strong, but it is not unbreakable. Place this pet urn for ashes on a stable, level surface away from busy walkways, and it will hold its appearance for a long time. This urn is suitable for indoor use only.

Adding a personal touch

If you would like to personalise the urn, a small memorial plaque can be added alongside it, carrying your pet's name or a short phrase that means something to you. It is a way of giving that corner of your home the particular meaning you have in mind.
