A quiet place for someone you won't forget

It isn't always the largest object in a room that carries the most meaning. Sometimes it's the small one you pass every morning, the one that sits on a windowsill or beside a photograph and holds the memory of a person you loved. This ceramic keepsake urn with a silver-coloured heart is made for exactly that kind of place.

How ceramic is made

This mini urn for ashes is produced through a precise casting process. Carefully selected raw materials are combined to form a ceramic body, which is poured as liquid clay into a plaster mould. Once the layer of slip reaches the right thickness, the mould is emptied and the piece is left to dry. The individual components, including the silver-coloured heart, are then joined by hand and the seams are finished smooth. The urn is fired at over 1,000 degrees, the point at which clay becomes true ceramic: hard, stable and built to last. The grey enamel glaze is applied in several layers after firing, which gives the colour its quiet depth.

The silver-coloured heart as a considered symbol

The heart on this urn is not decoration for its own sake. If the person you are remembering was someone who gave a great deal to others, who cared quietly or steadily, the heart connects directly to that. The grey of the urn keeps the overall feel reserved, which lets the silver-coloured heart speak clearly. No words are needed. The object says it for you.

Practical and reliable for indoor use

Ceramic is a stable material and well suited to a permanent place in the home. There are a few things worth knowing before you choose where to display it.

Moisture, fragility and placement

This cremation urn is designed for indoor use only and should not be placed in damp conditions. A bathroom setting is not recommended. Ceramic is not moisture-resistant, and while the fired body is hard and stable, it is vulnerable to impact if knocked over. Choose a flat, stable surface where the urn is unlikely to be disturbed. Treated with ordinary care, it will remain exactly as it should be.

  • Hand-finished from ceramic fired at over 1,000 degrees
  • Grey body with multi-layer enamel glaze, giving the colour genuine depth
  • Silver-coloured heart joined and finished by hand during production
  • For indoor use only

If you would like to personalise this keepsake urn further, an engraving plate can be added, carrying a name, a date or a short phrase that mattered to you both. Placed alongside a photograph or a small meaningful object, the urn becomes part of something larger. Together, those things say more than any one of them could alone.

If you would like help choosing a personalisation option or deciding where this urn might sit best, we are happy to talk it through with you at your own pace.
