A colour that holds, a heart that means something

If you are looking for an urn that carries the memory of someone you loved, present but never overbearing, the deep blue glaze of this cremation urn is exactly that. The gold heart on the front is not ornamental for its own sake. It marks what is being kept: the love you shared, made visible in a single, considered detail.

How this urn is made

Production begins with a plaster mould filled with liquid clay. The clay dries slowly, building up layer by layer until the wall reaches the right thickness. The mould is removed, the seams are smoothed by hand, and elements such as the heart are carefully fitted. The piece then goes into the kiln at over 1,000 degrees. That firing is what transforms raw clay into ceramic, hard and stable. The blue glaze and gold accents are applied in stages, before and after firing, so the colour and sheen become part of the material itself rather than a surface coating laid on top.

Blue, gold, and what they hold

Blue has long been associated with steadiness, loyalty and continuity. Not as an escape from grief, but as a colour that simply stays. The gold heart makes that meaning concrete. You are not choosing this urn because it looks right. You are choosing it because it feels right. When you are keeping the ashes of someone who mattered to you, the place you choose for them deserves a form that reflects that.

Suitable for use with or without an ashes bag

This urn for ashes can be used with or without an ashes bag, giving you the choice that suits your preference. It is designed for indoor use, on whatever surface or shelf feels right to you.

Practical and lasting

Ceramic is a stable material, but it deserves careful handling when you are placing or moving it. Keep the urn away from damp conditions or humid areas of the home, as prolonged exposure to moisture can gradually affect the glaze over time. On a dry, stable surface, a well-fired ceramic urn will remain in good condition for many years. That is not a vague reassurance; it is simply how quality-fired ceramic behaves.

Personalisation options

If you would like to add something personal, an engraving plate can be added to the urn, offering space for a name, a date or a short phrase. Beyond that, the urn also works well as a focal point within a small arrangement: a framed photograph, a meaningful object, or a handwritten card placed alongside it can bring together a quiet, personal memorial that reflects the bond you had.

If you are unsure whether this urn is the right fit for your situation, please do get in touch. We will take as much time as you need to help you find what feels right.
