Bronze Blue Tit Mini Urn - A Memory to Treasure

A little bird, a lasting memory

It may be a familiar song, a blue tit in the garden or a moment spent watching the birds together. After someone dies, ordinary details like these can feel unexpectedly important. The bronze Blue Tit mini urn creates a personal memorial and holds a small amount of cremation ashes.

The meaning behind the sculpture

The blue tit is a lively, inquisitive garden bird, associated here with resilience, hope and the joy found in everyday life. Its presence may recall someone’s playful character, their love of the outdoors or a favourite spot by the window. This is a personal interpretation of the bird, not a fixed tradition.

Carefully crafted in bronze

The bird is modelled as a fully three-dimensional, freestanding sculpture. Hand-finished bronze and a wax patina bring definition to its shape, while slight differences in the finish reflect the casting process.

The bird’s compact shape and fine detailing give this bronze piece a recognisable blue tit character. Slight variations in its hand-applied wax patina are part of the finishing process.

A small space for treasured memories

A mini urn is intended for a small, symbolic portion of cremation ashes, rather than all the ashes from a cremation. It can be kept alongside a larger urn or after the remaining ashes have been scattered.

• Personal keepsake: space for a small, symbolic portion of cremation ashes.
• Hand-finished bronze: a detailed sculpture with a characteristic wax patina.
• Meaningful design: a personal symbol of love and remembrance.
• Thoughtful display: a discreet memorial to place by a photograph or other treasured keepsake.

Filling, sealing and choosing a place

A plug beneath the bird closes the ash opening. After filling, bond the plug securely for a permanent closure; outdoors, taking care over the seal is especially important.

Bronze can be kept inside or outdoors and is naturally weather-resistant. Over time, sunlight and rain may alter the colour of its patina; outdoor placement calls for particular care when sealing the ash opening.

A blue tit may recall a shared walk or the view from a favourite window. Choose a place for this memorial that brings one of those everyday moments to mind; we can advise on closing the urn.
