Born from personal loss

The artist behind this piece is a Dutch sculptor with a background in figurative bronze art. After the sudden death of his young son, his work shifted entirely. From that grief came a series of memorial sculptures and urns built around one idea: that love and connection do not end, and that a physical object can carry that truth quietly but unmistakably. His first angel was made as a tribute to his son. What followed was a collection, each piece shaped with the same precision and compassion he brought to his bronze work.

This urn for ashes is made from high-quality PLA filament, a biodegradable plastic of natural origin, reinforced with glassfibre for structural strength. Every piece is hand-finished in the Netherlands, which means no two are identical. The variation is part of the character.
