Grade 316 stainless steel

In practice, most orders are ready sooner, but a six-week window is quoted to avoid disappointment. Filling the urn

Everything needed to fill and seal the urn is included: an ash bag, a cable tie and a cleaning cloth. The urn seals with a high-bond, double-sided closure tape designed to withstand significant tension, creating an airtight seal once fitted.

The ash bag can be used as a funnel during filling, then sealed with the cable tie and placed fully inside the urn. If you prefer to place the ashes directly without the bag, a separate funnel is recommended to avoid spillage. Once filled, the inner rim should be clean and free of dust, grease and moisture before the lid is pressed firmly into place. The base sits flush when the seal is correct. If you would rather leave the filling to the crematorium or funeral director, that is entirely possible, and if the urn ever needs to be reopened, the technical team can assist.

Practical reassurance

This cremation urn carries a ten-year guarantee and comes with a 30-day return period if, for any reason, it is not right for you. It is suitable for holding either a full volume of ashes or a partial amount, and can be used with or without the ash bag. Because the grade 316 steel is robust and the seal airtight, placing ashes directly inside without a bag is considered safe. If you think the ashes may need to be moved or transferred at a later date, using the ash bag keeps that option open.

Laser engraving

Personalisation is available via laser engraving, applied directly to the steel surface. A focused, computer-guided laser cuts into the material with precision, producing an image or text that becomes part of the urn itself rather than something placed on top of it. The engraving can be rendered in grey tones or in colour, and the sharpness of the result depends on the resolution of the image file you provide. When you order, you'll reach a step where you can select the engraving option and upload your chosen image or text directly.

A name and a date is the most straightforward choice, but the steel surface holds other things well too: a photograph, a signature, or a line of text that carried meaning between the two of you. Because the engraving is permanent, it becomes part of the piece.
