This stainless steel keepsake urn carries that same geometry in a form you can hold.

Stainless steel grade 316: built to last

Not all stainless steel is the same. This urn for ashes is made from grade 316 stainless steel, a higher-specification alloy than the more common grade 304. The difference lies in corrosion resistance: grade 316 contains additional molybdenum, which makes it significantly more resistant to moisture, salt and the elements over time. The brushed finish catches the light from different angles, giving the surface a quiet, considered sheen. Because this urn is suitable for both indoor and outdoor placement, that material quality matters in practice, not just on paper. It is also low maintenance: no special cleaning products, no coatings to preserve.

This urn is made by hand by specialist craftspeople in the Netherlands, using the best available materials. That process takes time. Please allow four to six weeks from order to delivery. Filling and sealing the urn

Everything you need to fill and seal the urn arrives with it. The process is straightforward, and you can carry it out yourself or leave it to the crematorium or funeral director.

How to fill the urn step by step

• An ash bag is supplied. Lower it into the urn, leaving part of it extending above the opening to act as a funnel, then pour the ashes in.
• Seal the ash bag with the supplied cable tie and push it fully into the urn.
• If you prefer to fill without a bag, a separate funnel is recommended to avoid spillage.
• Before fitting the lid, make sure the inner seating rim is clean and completely free of dust, grease and moisture. Use the supplied cloth.
• Peel the protective film from the lid, position it carefully over the opening and press it firmly into place in one smooth movement. A properly closed lid sits flush with the body of the urn.

The seal is fully airtight and rated to withstand considerable tension, so ashes can be placed directly in the urn without a bag if you prefer. That said, if there is any possibility that the ashes may need to be transferred at a later stage, keeping them in the ash bag gives you that flexibility.

Personalisation and laser engraving

Laser engraving is available for this cremation urn. A concentrated laser beam, guided by computer, cuts directly into the stainless steel surface with precision. The image or text can be rendered in grey tones or in colour. The quality of the result depends on the resolution of the file you supply: the sharper the original image, the cleaner the engraving. When you place your order, you will be prompted to choose your engraving option and upload your file directly.

What you might engrave

A name and dates are the most common choice. But the pyramid form also lends itself to something more considered: a compass bearing to a place that mattered, a line of text that only the two of you would understand, or an image that speaks to the bond you shared. Grade 316 stainless steel does not rust, corrode or degrade under normal conditions, indoors or outside. It will not be affected by rain, humidity or temperature changes. This urn carries a ten-year guarantee, which reflects the confidence placed in the craftspeople who make it. If for any reason the urn needs to be reopened after sealing, that can be carried out by our technicians. You also have a 30-day return period on this urn if your circumstances change or the urn is not right for you.
