A life held in form
This urn does not offer reassurance that isn't there. It simply draws attention to what was: a life, a path, a person. Two considered design elements carry that thought. The arc represents the journey a person travelled through life. The sphere represents the person themselves. Neither is decorative. Both are the design.
Matte black powder-coated stainless steel
The urn is made from grade 316 stainless steel, which offers stronger corrosion resistance than the more common grade 304. The matte black powder-coat finish gives it a composed, settled character that sits well in both modern and traditional interiors. The clean lines make it versatile: alongside a stone windowsill, on a wooden cabinet, or as the centre of a memorial corner you have arranged at home.
Crafted with precision, carried by memory
If you choose this cremation urn, you are choosing something made by hand in the Netherlands using the finest materials. That process takes time. Lead time is four to six weeks, though despatch often happens sooner. If you would like to know the current lead time before ordering, please get in touch via chat or email and we will check for you.
Laser engraving: connecting the design to a specific life
Laser engraving is available for this urn, including full-colour and black-and-grey image engraving. This gives you the opportunity to connect the symbolism of the arc and the sphere to the life you shared: a portrait photograph, a favourite landscape, an image tied to something your loved one cared about. Every engraved urn is unique. If you are thinking about personalisation, practical ideas include a photo from a place that mattered to them, an image linked to a passion or hobby, or a motif that simply felt like theirs. Engraving is available as an option when ordering.
Practical assurance at a delicate moment
When you are choosing a cremation urn for ashes, it is entirely natural to want confidence in how it will hold, seal and last. With this urn, that confidence comes from the material and the construction rather than from a sales promise.
Strength, seal and guarantee
Grade 316 stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium, nickel and carbon. It is exceptionally strong, resistant to corrosion, and straightforward to care for. The seal is fully airtight and designed to withstand significant tension, which means the ashes can be placed directly in the urn without risk. An ash bag is supplied with the urn, giving you the option to move the ashes at a later point if needed. This urn carries a 10-year guarantee. There is also a 30-day consideration period: you can take delivery, assess it at home, and return it if it is not right for you.
Filling the urn
All accessories needed to fill and seal the urn are included. The process is straightforward. Place the supplied ash bag into the urn, leaving part of it folded outward to act as a funnel. Pour the ashes in, then close the bag with the supplied cable tie and tuck it fully inside the opening. If you prefer not to use the ash bag, skip those steps and use a separate funnel when pouring to avoid spillage. Once filled, ensure the inner rim is clean and free from dust, grease and moisture using the cloth provided. Remove the protective film from the lid, position it carefully against the rim, and press it firmly into place in a single movement. A correctly seated lid will sit flush with the surface. The urn is now sealed. You are also welcome to leave the filling to the crematorium or funeral director. If the urn ever needs to be reopened, our technicians can do that for you.
Questions people often ask
Below are answers to questions that come up regularly when choosing a stainless steel urn for ashes.
What is the guarantee?
This urn carries a 10-year guarantee. It is made to a standard we are confident in, which is why we offer that assurance without reservation.
Can I return it if it is not right?
Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to assess the urn at home and return it if you decide it is not the right choice. No pressure, no complicated process.
Do I need to use an ash bag?
No. The ashes can be placed directly in the urn. Grade 316 stainless steel is non-porous, airtight and robust enough to hold ashes without a bag. The ash bag is included because it gives you flexibility: if you want to move or divide the ashes at a later point, having them in a bag makes that simpler. With ceramic or glass urns, a bag is advisable in case of accidental knocks. With natural stone, particularly marble, it is recommended because the material is porous and moisture can cause the ashes to expand and crack the urn. Neither concern applies here.
Can I commission a bespoke design?
Yes. If you have a specific design in mind, we can work with you to develop it. Send us a sketch, a photograph or an example of the style you are thinking of, and we will produce a design proposal with a quote for your approval.
If you would like to talk through engraving options or find out what is possible with this urn, we are happy to think it through with you at your own pace. Get in touch via chat or email and we will take it from there.
