The active compounds are woven into the fibres of the cloth itself, which is precisely what makes it more effective than an ordinary cleaning cloth and why it should not be washed. Washing dilutes the impregnation and reduces how well the cloth performs.

What to keep in mind when using it

The cloth removes dirt, dullness and oxidation from silver surfaces and restores the original shine. It is gentle enough for daily use and will not cause micro-scratches or surface damage to your silver ashes jewellery. You do not need cleaning fluid, specialist knowledge or much time. The cloth simply does what it needs to do.

A few things worth noting before you start:

• Buff gently but thoroughly to bring back a consistent shine
• Do not wash the cloth at any point, as this will impair the impregnation
• Replace the cloth only when it has turned entirely black, which indicates the fibres are fully saturated
• Wash your hands after use
