Connected by what remains

For many people, a cremation urn on the mantelpiece feels too present, too much to face every time they walk into the room. You want to keep your loved one close, but you also need to feel at home in your own space. This sculpture holds both of those things at once.

A figure with a hidden purpose

This keepsake urn was developed in response to repeated requests from bereaved families who wanted something that could sit in plain sight without drawing attention to what it holds. Created in collaboration with a group of established artists, the sculpture is cast in silvertin, a stable alloy recognised for its fine surface detail and consistent, low-sheen finish. The base is hollow, designed to hold a symbolic portion of ashes. A screw cap closes the opening securely and sits out of sight at the back of the piece.

What the sculpture carries

The title 'Connected through the heart' is not decorative. It refers to the bond you shared with the person you have lost, a bond that does not simply end. The sculpture gives that idea a physical presence in your home. To you, the meaning is entirely clear. To anyone else, it is simply a well-made figure.

Symbolism you define yourself

Because the piece carries no obvious sign of mourning, you can place it wherever that person felt most present: on the sitting room shelf, on the bedside table, in the spot where you pause each morning. That kind of placement is personal in a way that a conventional urn for ashes rarely allows. If you have a particular spot in mind or a specific wish around the piece, we are happy to talk it through with you.

Practical reassurance

Silvertin is a stable alloy. It does not crack or degrade under normal indoor conditions, does not react to household humidity, and holds its appearance without any special treatment or maintenance. This sculpture is designed for indoor use only.

How the ashes are held

The hollow base keeps the ashes dry and protected. The screw cap closes reliably and is not visible from the front of the piece. There is nothing to seal with adhesive, no additional fitting required. Once closed, the sculpture can simply be placed and left.

If you have a specific request

If you would like to discuss a particular wish around placement, or if you have any other questions about this funeral urn, we are glad to help at whatever pace suits you.
