A stone that stays, just as the memory does

When you want to create a place you can always return to, it deserves something as enduring as the love behind it. The Memorial Stone Horizon is cut from granite, one of the hardest and most resilient natural stones on earth. That is not a marketing claim. It is a geological fact: granite withstands decades of frost, rain and shifting temperatures without losing its structure.

Granite: a material with character and proven craftsmanship

Granite forms deep underground, under extreme pressure and heat. That origin makes every block distinct in pattern and colour. The Horizon is available in several colours, so you can choose what feels right for the person you are remembering, or for the setting where the stone will stand. Working granite demands diamond-tipped tools and precise technique. Every inscription is cut with care and remains sharp and legible for years, because that is simply the nature of the material.

A name in stone, a story in words

You choose what the stone says. That is perhaps the most personal decision in this entire process. A name, a date, a phrase that captures the bond you shared. Not what convention suggests, but what feels right for you and for the person you are missing. Text engraving is applied directly to the stone and can carry whatever you need it to say.

Approval before production

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a proof for approval before anything is cut. This gives you the chance to check the wording carefully and make any changes before production begins.

Practical considerations worth knowing before you order

Granite is a heavy, permanent material, and that calls for a little preparation. Not every cemetery operates under the same rules, and it is worth clarifying this before you order rather than after.

Always check with the cemetery first

Please note: before ordering this memorial stone, we strongly recommend speaking with your cemetery manager or local authority to confirm what is and is not permitted at your specific site. Many cemeteries set requirements around dimensions, materials and design. Some sites also stipulate that only locally approved stonemasons may install memorials. Any concrete base slab or pile foundation required beneath the stone will need to be arranged and installed by the cemetery directly.

If you have questions about the Horizon or would like to talk through inscription wording, we are happy to help. Call us or use the contact form and we will go through it with you at your own pace.
