A shape that holds what words cannot

Some objects carry meaning the moment you see them. The Memorial stone 'Heart with flower', crafted from granite, is one of those. Recognisable, personal, and made to last, it keeps something of who your loved one was visible in the world.

Granite: a material built to endure

Granite is one of the hardest natural stones available. It forms deep within the earth over immense periods of time, and that origin gives it a resilience that few materials match. It holds its structure through frost, moisture and shifting temperatures. Every stone carries a unique vein pattern produced during that formation, so no two pieces are identical. The memorial stone is available in several colours, letting you choose a shade that suits both the setting and the person you are remembering.

The heart and the flower as symbol

The heart speaks to a love that does not end when someone is gone. The flower alongside it is not ornamental: it points to growth, to life, to the cycle that connects us all. Together they form an image that says, quietly and clearly, that someone here was loved and loved life in return. If your loved one was drawn to nature, to gardening, to flowers on the table or time spent outdoors, that flower on the stone takes on a concrete, specific meaning. Visitors will feel it without needing it explained.

Your words, your choice

The stone becomes fully itself through what you choose to have inscribed on it. A name, a date, a phrase you have always carried with you. Text engraving is available, applied directly to the surface, and the choice of wording is entirely yours.

Approval before production

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a proof of the inscription for your approval before anything is produced. This gives you the opportunity to check every detail carefully before work begins.

Practical things worth knowing before you order

Placing a memorial stone takes a little preparation. Cemeteries and burial grounds each have their own rules, and knowing what is and is not permitted early on will save you difficulty later.

Check with the cemetery before ordering

Please note: before placing your order, it is worth speaking to your cemetery manager or local authority to understand what is permitted at your specific site. Many burial grounds have requirements around dimensions, materials and design. Some restrict installation to approved local stonemasons. Any concrete base beneath the memorial stone, and any pile foundation beneath that base, will need to be installed by the cemetery itself. These are practical steps, but they are straightforward once you know what to ask.

If you have questions about the stone, the engraving or the ordering process, we are happy to help. Get in touch by telephone or through the contact form and we will talk it through with you at your own pace.
