A stone that stays, like the memory of the person you've lost

Choosing a memorial stone is not something you do lightly. You want something that does justice to who your loved one was, that will hold its presence year after year, and that sits quietly in its place without demanding anything. This granite desk memorial stone is made for exactly that.

Granite: a material that earns its reputation

Granite is one of the hardest natural stones in existence. It forms deep within the earth's crust and withstands decades of exposure before it ever reaches a stonemason's workshop. That history tells you something about what it can bear. The desk shape, sloping gently from back to front, gives any engraving a clean, legible angle and lends the stone a composed, recognisable presence. Granite needs no coating, no treatment, no upkeep to remain what it is.

What you see is what endures

This memorial stone is available in several granite colours, so you can choose what suits the location, reflects your loved one's character, or simply feels right to you. A deep anthracite carries a stillness of its own. A lighter shade catches more of the surrounding light. The choice belongs to you.

Engraving: the name and the words that matter

The engraving is what connects the person who has gone with the people who remain. You can choose a name, a date, a line that says something true about the bond you shared, or a combination of text and an image.

Practical things to know before you order

Placing a memorial stone involves more than selecting the stone itself. Please read the following carefully before placing your order.

Check with the cemetery first

Important: before ordering, we strongly recommend speaking with your cemetery manager or local authority to understand what is and is not permitted at your specific burial ground. Many cemeteries specify permitted dimensions, materials and forms for memorial stones, and some require that installation is carried out only by approved local stonemasons. Any concrete base slab and foundation work beneath the stone will typically need to be arranged through the cemetery directly.

Proof approval before production

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a proof of the engraving for your approval before any work begins. This gives you the chance to review the text carefully and confirm everything is exactly as you want it.

If you have any questions, please do get in touch by phone or via the contact form and we will talk through the options with you at your own pace.
