Once cooled, the statue is removed, then carefully finished, patinated and polished by hand. Bronze has been used this way for centuries because it is strong, weather-resistant and ages with character. No two pieces come out identical. That individuality is visible in every finished statue.

What bronze does over time

Bronze is not a static material. Outdoors, whether in a garden, a memorial space or at a graveside, the surface gradually develops a natural patina. That layer is not damage; it is protection, deepening the colour and shielding the metal beneath. Indoors, the statue holds its original lustre.
