This urn was not thrown on a wheel. It is hand-built in a studio where each piece is shaped individually, layer by layer, from the base up. That process means no two pieces are identical. Once formed, the ceramic is partly scraped and sanded to bring out the natural grain of the clay. There is no glaze to cover that texture. What you see is the material itself: raw, unvarnished, and in a sand colour that feels earthy and composed. The craft that goes into this kind of work demands patience and precision, and you can see both in the finished piece.

The symbolism of stone

The name Boulder / Rock is deliberate. A stone does not move, does not change, does not need to explain itself. It simply remains. If you want something that reflects the bond you shared with the person you have lost, this form carries that meaning quietly. The sand colour sits between white and black, neither bright nor sombre, fitting naturally into any setting without competing with it.

Practical and durable, indoors and out

Placement, weather and care

Ceramic is a strong material, but it is not unbreakable. For outdoor placement, choose a stable, level surface where the urn cannot be knocked or blown over. Unglazed ceramic can be affected by prolonged frost, so a sheltered spot is preferable in winter. If conditions are severe, bringing the urn inside during the coldest months is a sensible precaution. The urn is suitable for use with or without an ash bag. A 24-month guarantee applies.
