The white dove can represent peace, freedom and letting go of someone dear to you. In flight, it suggests movement and a bond that remains, even after saying goodbye. The hand-painted image gives this ceramic cremation urn a personal meaning without drawing attention to its purpose as a memorial.

Hand-painted in a modern pottery

The cremation urn is made in a modern pottery where ceramic craftsmanship is central to the process. The artist carefully applies the decoration using specially developed ceramic paints and selected brushes suited to detailed work. Every line is painted by hand. Slight variations in shape, linework and colour may therefore occur, giving each urn its own individual character.

After painting, a transparent glaze is applied. Glass powder is dissolved in water and sprayed evenly over the ceramic. Following a drying period of several days, the urn is fired at a temperature between 1,050 and 1,250 degrees Celsius. During this process, the glaze melts to form a protective, glass-like surface that deepens the colours and protects the painted decoration.

A discreet place for remembrance

Its elegant shape and detailed painting mean that it is not immediately recognisable as a cremation urn. It can therefore be given a visible and meaningful place within the home without drawing attention to its purpose. The white dove may be especially fitting when peace, freedom, faith or connection held personal significance in the life of the person being remembered.

The lid provides space for a tealight or a small candle. This allows you to light a candle at a moment of your choosing and pause to remember the person you miss.

A painted design shaped around your memories

The existing decoration can be extended or adapted to reflect your wishes. Options include:

• a name, date or short inscription incorporated into the painting;
• a flower, landscape or familiar place;
• a motif inspired by a hobby, profession or shared memory;
• a completely individual design created in consultation with the artist.

Use and care

The cremation urn can be used with or without an ash bag. Place it indoors on a stable, level and dry surface, away from frequently used walkways where possible. Avoid moisture and significant changes in temperature. The glazed surface can be carefully cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
