An angel that stands where you place it
Some things carry meaning that words cannot quite reach. This freestanding bronze angel sculpture is one of them. Cast in a limited edition, it is made to mark a place, hold a presence, and endure.
Cast by the lost-wax method
This grave sculpture is made using the traditional cire perdue process. A wax model is formed first, then encased in a mould and replaced with molten bronze. Once cast, each piece is hand-finished and patinated by the maker. The process demands patience and precision, and that shows in the sharpness of the detail and the depth of the surface. No two pieces are identical, even within this limited edition.
Freestanding with a dowel on the base
The sculpture stands independently on any flat surface. A dowel on the base allows it to be anchored securely into a plinth, a grave monument, or prepared ground if you prefer a fixed placement. This gives you flexibility: a dedicated space at home, a spot in the garden beside a tree, or directly at the grave.
What bronze does over time
Bronze is not a static material. Outdoors, exposed to rain, frost and sun, it develops a natural patina. That patina is not deterioration. It is the surface deepening, building character, becoming more woven into the place where the sculpture stands. The piece you place today will look richer in ten years' time.
Suited to outdoor use and weather-resistant
Bronze is naturally corrosion-resistant and holds its structural integrity through prolonged exposure to moisture and fluctuating temperatures. You do not need to bring it inside for winter or cover it in wet weather. If you would like to manage or slow the development of patina, periodic treatment with a bronze wax or oil will do that. These products are available from specialist suppliers.
The angel as symbol, given form
The angel figure has carried specific meaning in memorial culture for centuries: protection, continued presence, and the threshold between what we can see and what we cannot. If the bond you shared had something of that quality, a sense that the person was simply there, felt rather than visible, this sculpture gives that something to stand on. Not a replacement. A recognition.
Limited edition
This angel sculpture has been released in a limited edition. The number of pieces is fixed and will not be recast or restocked. If it speaks to you, it is worth acting sooner rather than later.
Personalisation options
If you would like to connect the sculpture to a specific person or memory, it can be paired with a matching plinth or name plate. An engraving can be added with a name, a date, or a short phrase, turning the piece from a grave sculpture into a personal monument that names who is being remembered.
Take your time with it, and if you have questions about placement, personalisation or anything else, we are happy to talk it through with you at whatever pace suits.
