An angel that stands wherever you place it
Some pieces do more than mark a place. This freestanding bronze angel sculpture holds its ground outdoors at a graveside or memorial garden, or indoors on a shelf or remembrance table, with the same quiet presence in either setting.
The dowel base: stable on any surface
The dowel fitted to the underside of the sculpture is a considered practical detail. Press it into soil, set it into a suitable stand, and the angel stands upright without wobbling, even on uneven ground or in wind. No adhesive needed, no additional fixings.
Cast by the lost-wax method
This sculpture is made using the traditional lost-wax process, known in French as cire perdue. Each piece begins as a hand-modelled wax original. That model is encased in a ceramic shell, bronze is poured in, and once the metal has cooled, the shell is broken away to reveal the casting. Every piece is then hand-finished and patinated by the maker. Because each wax original is modelled individually, no two sculptures are identical. What arrives with you carries the trace of human hands at every stage, not a mould-pressed repeat.
What bronze does over time
Bronze has been used for monuments, grave sculptures and memorial pieces across cultures for centuries. Its durability is the reason. The alloy resists frost, rain and prolonged sun exposure, and asks very little of you in return.
Patina and weather resistance
Outdoors, bronze develops a natural patina over time. This is not deterioration. The surface layer actually protects the metal beneath it, and the colour shifts gradually from golden brown toward deeper bronze-green or near-anthracite, depending on the environment. The sculpture gains depth as the years pass. Indoors, the original bronze tone remains visible for much longer. If you want to preserve that colour, a single application of neutral bronze wax once a year is sufficient.
No risk of breakage or moisture damage
Bronze does not crack under impact and does not absorb moisture. You do not need to bring this sculpture inside during frost or wet weather. It will look as you placed it in ten years' time. This is a material chosen for permanence, and that permanence is part of what it offers.
The angel as a concrete symbol
The angel figure appears across many cultures and traditions as a sign of protection and continued presence after loss. For those who believe in life beyond death, this sculpture is a direct expression of that faith. For those who do not hold that belief, it can serve as a visible marker of the bond you shared, placed where you return to it regularly. Either way, it does something real on the spot where you put it.
Placement ideas that carry meaning

- In a memorial garden, near a shrub or tree your loved one planted themselves
- On a windowsill or remembrance shelf indoors, where it remains in daily view
