An angel that stays with you, inside and out

If you are looking for something that does more than mark a place, something that holds a genuine presence wherever you choose to put it, this bronze angel statue is worth your consideration. Not as a religious statement, but as a quiet expression of protection and the bond you shared.

Cast by the lost-wax method

This angel statue is made using the traditional lost-wax casting process, known in French as cire perdue. Each piece is cast individually from a wax model that is destroyed in the process, then hand-finished and patinated by a craftsperson. The result is that no two statues are identical. This method has remained essentially unchanged for centuries, because it is the only way to achieve this level of detail and structural integrity in bronze. You see that care in every surface.

Freestanding with a dowel base for stable placement

The statue stands freely and has a dowel on the underside, which means you can place it on a flat surface as it is, or anchor it into a plinth, a base, or directly into the ground. That choice is yours, depending on where the statue will stand: on a shelf or memorial table indoors, beside a tree or shrub in the garden, or at a grave as a complement to an existing monument.

What bronze offers that other materials cannot

Bronze is not a decorative material in the ordinary sense. It is the material humanity has used for memorial sculpture across centuries, because it endures. Not only against the elements, but in meaning.

Suited to outdoor use and built to last

Bronze is fully weather-resistant and needs no protection from rain, frost, or sunlight when placed outside. Over time, a natural patina develops on the surface, a grey-green layer that gives bronze its characteristic depth. Far from diminishing the statue, this patina strengthens the symbolism of memory: a piece that changes slowly with the years, as remembrance does. If you prefer to maintain the original colour, a periodic application of bronze wax will do that, though it is not a requirement.

The angel as a considered symbol

An angel has long stood for protection and guidance. For someone who has lost a parent, this statue can express that a protective presence has not gone. For someone who has lost a child, it can represent an innocence that remains intact. The meaning you bring to this piece is your own, and once the statue has found its place, that meaning is held there.

Placement and stability

The dowel on the underside gives you control over how securely the statue sits. Indoors, on a windowsill or memorial shelf, freestanding placement is perfectly sufficient. In the garden or at a grave, the dowel allows you to anchor the statue into a base or into the ground, depending on the surface. If you are placing it outside on softer ground, anchoring is advisable to keep the statue stable in wind.

Making it yours

Bronze lends itself well to engraving. If you would like to personalise the statue with a name, a date, or a short phrase that says something about who this person was, that is available as an option. Not as a default, but as a deliberate choice. If you would like to talk through the engraving possibilities or need help deciding on placement, we are happy to think it through with you at your own pace.
