This is an industrial finishing process that demands precision, and the quality is visible in the result. The base is a hand-finished wooden plinth, individually treated and brought to colour by hand. No two are identical.

Small hairline cracks can appear in wood over time as temperatures fluctuate; this is a characteristic of the material, not a fault. Keep the sculpture away from direct heat sources and damp areas such as bathrooms or conservatories. The ash compartment is a slim tube included with the sculpture; once filled, it is sealed with an adhesive disc, also included, making it secure and straightforward to close.
