This bamboo urn offers the option to bury (a portion of) your loved one’s cremation ashes in an environmentally responsible way. The urn is made from bamboo stems and is hand-finished. Once placed in the ground, it will naturally biodegrade over time, allowing the ashes to return to the environment.

What makes this bamboo urn special?

The urn is made up of segments and is sealed at the top with a lid. This creates a natural protective barrier for the cremation ashes. As the bamboo breaks down over the years, the roots of plants or a tree growing above it can gradually reach the ashes. In a symbolic and natural way, something new can grow from what you keep close.

You may choose to place a plant, cutting, or young tree of your choice above the urn.

How to use the bamboo urn

1. Fill the urn with (a portion of) the cremation ashes.
2. Close the urn with the lid.
3. Bury the urn in the ground and cover it with soil.
4. Plant a plant, cutting, or young tree of your choice above the urn.

This mini urn is intended for a portion of the ashes and is not large enough to hold the full amount of cremation ashes of an adult.
