Traditionally cast and hand-finished

The sculpture is cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax method, also known as the cire perdue process. First, a wax model is created. Once the wax has been removed from the mould, the resulting cavity is filled with molten bronze. Each piece is then hand-finished and patinated. Small variations in tone and surface are part of this traditional process and give every sculpture its own character.

Bronze for a lasting memorial setting

Bronze is suitable for long-term placement indoors and outdoors. Over time and with exposure to the weather, the surface can gradually develop a natural patina. This changes the appearance of the sculpture while the bronze itself remains intact. If you would like to preserve the original bronze tone for as long as possible, the surface can be treated periodically with a suitable bronze wax.
