Polystone is neither plastic nor ordinary resin. It is made by combining finely ground natural stone, including granite, marble and soapstone, with liquid polyurethane resin. The mixture is poured into a rubber mould, and once set, each piece is finished by hand. Edges are smoothed, the surface is worked through several stages of sanding, and the piece is then polished to completion. The result has the weight and solidity of real stone, and it feels that way to the touch. The fine detail in the face and wings, which gives this sculpture its character, is only achievable through that kind of labour-intensive process.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor placement

This angel sculpture can be placed wherever feels right: on a windowsill or shelf indoors, or outside in a garden or on a grave.
